Looking back.. this week reminds me of a winding road with potholes and bumps.
It started Monday with our follow-up appointment with our Primary Physician. [DH] Sanford was very weak due to anemia. Dr.B. ordered lab work to be done [STAT ] Tuesday morning. About 2 pm Tuesday afternoon, she called us with instructions to go to the hospital Wednesday morning for blood type and cross match...for the 2 transfusions she had scheduled for Thursday. DH's RBC had dropped a lot since his last visit.
On Tuesday, Pam, our DD in Atlanta, who recently had a mastectomy called to let us know that her oncologist had decided that she will need chemo treatment which is called TCH. The port is being implanted today and her treatments begin next week.
On Wednesday when DH went to the urologist for his second cancer treatment, he was advised that the former urologist had not faxed his medical records re the previous bladder cancer, claimed they never got the request. :( Maybe ... Maybe Not ???????
Finally got some good news Wednesday from Noelle, our youngest (17 year old) granddaughter. This will be her senior year and for several reasons she wants to work. She was the FIRST 'interviewee', on her FIRST job interview... and she got her FIRST job. She will be working for Circuit City...selling cameras. She is so excited and of course we're really proud of her as well as happy for her. She is so looking forward to working Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, when people start lining up outside of the stores the night before.
We had planned to go to Atlanta to visit Pam after DH's transfusions, but the flights we wanted were not available. So we decided to postpone the trip, which our children thought was a good idea. Said we should wait until DH is feeling strong again. I am so glad we decided not to go because, though DH feels somewhat better, he doesn't feel as strong today as he thought he would. But we're looking forward to better days.
No plans for the weekend except to go to Mass.
Y'all have a Happy........
