As Time Goes By

Seems like it was just Christmas the other day. Can you believe Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday? The days and weeks are here and gone before you realize it. I'm wondering if it's a sign of aging... or because finally, I'm getting back to what was once considered normal.
In spite of having had that infamous respiratory virus and still coughing weeks later, I feel better than I have in months. I've had 2 of the 3 epidural injections for my back pain and though I'm not completely pain free, I feel they're working for me. Also not having to deal with the doctor I fired certainly has helped. I'm sure he was blindsided at being fired, but he has yet another surprise, an even bigger one that definitely won't make him a happy camper when he finds out... I filed a grievance against him. Yes, I sure did... due to among other things, his insistence that depression was causing my back pain... ignoring reports that said otherwise. Shame on him.

The new members of my Red Hat Society Chapter are the type of ladies that I have been seeking from day one. Their enthusiasm is so refreshing. They are just as happy to be members as I am to have them in my chapter. It was amazing how well we all bonded the very first time we all got together in January. Anyone observing us would not believe that 5 of the 10 of us were meeting for the first time. I'm looking forward to many happy times with these wonderful ladies. At the end of this month we are having a 'Pajama Brunch' at the home of one of our Chapterettes, everyone will be wearing PJ's. Everyone will bring a dish and we have a yummy menu. We're all excited like little kids and can hardly wait for the fun to begin.
