Once again, I'm reminded of that old saying "Man plans...But GOD commands". We had to cancel our cruise and fortunately, as always, we had purchased insurance..
Friday morning Sanford awakened unable to stand alone unaided for some unknown reason. He has to use a cane for balance. Our doctor has ordered a walker for him. Thursday the doctor had advised him that his white BC was very high again and ordered another lab test. However, there was no indication that was the cause of his balance problem. Next week he will get a brain scan and see a neurologist.
A short while ago we were concerned that a hurricane might interfere with us going on the cruise, now we're reminded of the words in a song "The future's not ours to see...Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)".
I am disappointed and somewhat relieved at the same time. I admit that I was somewhat concerned that there could be a medical emergency while on the cruise. Now I look at whatever it was that happened to San as another blessing in disguise .. It could have happened while we were on the cruise. Thank God, it happened before the cruise...here at home where our support system is.
I hope that you will keep us in your prayers.
...Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. You never know who's heart you will touch when you share a piece of your own.
